Games, I need them!

I need to discover and play some good old games. I need recommendations. Anyone?
I want something with a deep story and long gameplay time. Preferably action. I've been bored after beating System Shock 2 numerous times, though it's an amazing game. Painkiller has bored me with its slow downs, and every other game I have isn't interesting me right now.
